Pankaj Tiwari
Pankaj is the Artistic Director of Studio Current and also works internationally as a performer and curator. Originally from Balrampur India, Pankaj is currently based in Amsterdam. Between 2020-23, worked as co-curator with Zurich Gessnerallee, Switzerland. He is also invited to curate a festival around ‘Object, Memory and Migration’ for the University of Minnesota (2021-23). Between 2011-2018, he worked as creative director for ‘The Fotons’, a performance-based group from India. He is also part of a collective ‘The Academy of New Rituals (2022)’, which consist of Amsterdam based Polish artist Maria Magdalena Kozlowska. He is also recipients of the prize 3Package Deal(2021-22) from Amsterdam Funds for the Arts.

Sankrit Kulmanochawong
Sankrit likes to use food, imagery and graphic design to shine light on visual discrepancies and cultural clashes that often go unnoticed. Born in Bangkok and based in Amsterdam, recently he has lately been organising food installations that try to form ways of experiencing food collectively, and with a mind to facilitating new conversations.

Frederik Klanberg
Frederik is the Chair of the Board for Studio Current. He has chosen to dedicate his life to arts and culture. Frederik’s practice is an interwoven entity consisting of artistic, pedagogic and institutional nodes. His work is often about creating space for careful and intentional deliberation of our times. Frederik believes that cultural institutions can be a site of study, possibility and rehearsal for a kinder and more equitable world. Frederik has worked as Policy Adviser to the Directorate and lecturer at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, as Head of Advocacy for a pan-European cultural organisation De Structura, has served on various representative boards and artist collectives. Currently Frederik is representing the Estonian Academy of Arts within an international consortium of art academies and allied partners.

Joris Koptod Nioky
Joris is the Treasurer for Studio Current. He is an avant-garde filmmaker from Amsterdam. His movies operate on the edge of documentary and fiction. His first two feature films, Portrait of a failed writer (Portret van een mislukt schrijver) and This is not who I am (Dit ben ik niet) both premiered at the Dutch Filmfestival. His debut film found an international premiere at FIDBA, the largest documentary filmfestival of South America. It was in competition for a Golden Kalf and won prize for Best Movie Debut.

Alexander Kostenko
Alexander is the Secretary for Studio Current. Alex is a scientist who transitioned into the realm of building a business. He moved to the Netherlands in 2009 to pursue a PhD in Applied Physics, completing it in 2013. Eager for new challenges, Alex underwent several significant career changes. Initially trained as a geophysicist, he contributed to R&D projects at a multinational corporation. After some years, he returned to academia, focusing on the digitalization of cultural heritage artifacts in collaboration with the National Institute of Mathematics Computer Science, the Rijksmuseum, and Naturalis. A few years later, he founded his own company, specializing in the development of advanced production methods for micro- and nano-technology.
